Nikon D750

Note: At the bottom of the statue, there is an American Eagle and a flag and a scroll and on the scroll is written: Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance.

I am not sure how long a period of time this link to a Houston Chronicle article concerning the presentation of this 8-ft tall bronze statute of James A. Baker will be active ... it is very informative though and is a must read for those that are interested in Houston history: www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/7265562.html Will open in a new tab or window

I have had the pleasure to meet James Baker and even had a memorable conversation with the Secrectary of State, so adding this panorama to my GigaPan collection is cool.

The panorama was taken hand-held with a Nikon D7000 and the 18-105mm 3.5-5.6G ED Nikkor lens on a blue-sky Wednesday morning in November.

Although the panorama consists of only 12 stitched photos, seeing it as a curved panorama on a curved surface via the View in Google Earth 4.2 can be memorable.

Thanks Kilgore :) It seems to me that if people advertise their GigaPans as 360-degree (as had been the case numerous time(, they should at least fix it so that all of us can see it as a 360 in Google Earth. I do not know how to accomplish this major feat when *many* GigaPan users don't take the trouble at all to place their panorama in Google Earth. However, you and I and a number of other players that have been here for a few months know what to do.
